The granular paint or granulated paint is a coating with reliefs and textures designed mainly for exteriors. However, some households also agree to coat interiors with this material.
This coating gives a texture that is applied by means of a paste in order to give interesting decorative effects and greater resistance to natural elements such as rain. It is also highly adhesive and resistant to any other element.

Granular paint properties
Among the most outstanding properties of granular paint is that it is a hard material and easy to wash. On the other hand, it only comes in two colours, winter white and standard, although it can be manufactured to the consumer's demand with any colour or shade, whether intense or not.
Its base tone, the matt matt, enhances the texture effect on the surface, which, depending on the way it is applied, will give a crossed, horizontal, vertical, etc. effect. It is therefore considered a versatile material. Next, we will talk about the application stages of granular paint.
Granulated paint application
- First, the surface to be coated with granular paint must be prepared in the same way as a wall is prepared to apply latex-based paint. Apply a first coat to the bottom with an acrylic latex acrylic that is the same tone as the granulated paint, then let it dry.
- After this the textured paint is applied using a steel trowel. The material should be applied as if it were a paste.
- The excess material should then be removed using a spatula. Immediately, to prevent the material from drying out, it should be rubbed with small wooden platacho that is wet with water. This process is to give it the style or finish that we want to give it.
As for the drying of the material, it usually takes about 3 hours, but due to its thickness, it should wait at least 15 days for it to be completely dry and adhered, so that if you want to wash, there is no risk of damaging the work done.
This paint has an average weight of 2.76 kg per square meter, depending on how thick we want to give it, the nature of the surface, and the quality finish we seek to achieve.
It is recommended that, for optimal use of the granular paint, the surface is properly prepared, the material is applied in a shaded place, the application of the material is avoided on walls heated by the sun and other agents, and if it is, the surface should be cooled with water and allowed to dry.
